The school was established on January 1982 but as a public secondary school. In the 1979, the Division of Technical and Vocational of Education Ministry and the Selangor State Education Department were planning to build a vocational school in Selangor with the help of the World Bank financing. The area identified is the town of Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor town to the school site.
After several discussion with the District Council and representatives of the local communities, an area of 19.75 acres (79,900 m2) at an agricultural village in Simpang Lima has been chosen as the site for construction. The site selection was based on several factors such as the land is state owned land that has not yet been developed. The existence of a vocational school would help revitalize and modernize the agricultural sector in the area.
However, when the school opened, it was a typical public school and not a vocational school for agriculture as planned. Reasons for this are the political pressure as well as the communities' will that wanted a public school was built instead of a vocational school.
After six years of public service, starting from 1988, The school has gradually changed into the religious boarding schools. The school's name has been changed from the SMK Simpang Lima to SMKA Simpang Lima.
The proposal is accepted by the Ministry of Education and the Selangor Education Department on the recommendation of the District Education Office of Sabak Bernam and further strengthened with the support of the school PTA. The results delight the local residents and the general population Sabak Bernam District.
In 1992, 4 (four) blocks a special hostel was built up to three levels of accommodation for students who are placed in the room-a converted classroom. A dining hall was also built to facilitate the management of all residential. After that, thanks to hard work with the school PTA committee members and the local community and the general public, a prayer room bigger load of about 500 students at the school can be built. The existence of the prayer room was able to increase the smoothness of student activities, particularly activities and religious and spiritual matters.
In 1998, the Ministry of Education through the RMK 6 has approved a provision of the construction of a block of three storey school building and two blocks of three storey high residential buildings for male and female students, another dining hall, a water tank and two multipurpose courts for games improve the management and administration as well as excellence SMKA Simpang Lima. The existence of a new residential blocks are certainly a lot of relief, specifically for the students themselves who are living in quite bersesak. Now they are in a more comfortable place in the building blocks of a new dormitory. In addition, the PTA has also been managing the construction of a prayer room for students and the princess eventually be built and used in 2000.

Madrasatuna, Madrasatuna.
(Our School, O Our School)
Laki hubbuna wa fuaduna.
(To thee we gave our heart and love)
Isyna nasya'na firihabik.
(For we hath growth and live inside thou)
Dohaina bianfusina fikhidmatik
(We swear to sacrifice ourself in service to thee)
Bil ulumi nafiah naurat ouqulana
(The knowledge thee gave brighten our mind)
Bil ulumi nafiah fatahat ouyunana
(The knowledge thee gave (too) opened up our eyes)
Aiqathtu afkarna Insyarhat sudurana
(Thee hath developed our mind and widen up our chest)
Madrasatuna, Madrasatuna.
(Our School, O Our School)
Laki hubbuna wa fuaduna.
(To thee we gave our heart and love)
Hayatan saidatan qaddamtilana
(For the happiness that thee gave to our life)
Fa-anti, fa-anti juz'u min hayatina
(Thou art piece of us)
Lil-mu'allimina wal-muallimat.
(And not forgetting the teachers)
